Week in the Life-Tuesday

Well today didn't turn out at all how I hoped it would.   I planned last week a play date with some of our fabulous NICU friends at the Splash Park.  Needless to say we didn't make it. I was seriously bummed out! I was really looking forward to hanging with some friends, and letting the kids have a good time together.  I was really upset I had to miss it! :0(

Lewis was up all night..sick sick sick sick sick.  Finally got him out of his bed at 6 am, came into my room and we snuggled while we watched a cartoon for a half hour so I could get some sleep.  He was up all night with a nasty cough, runny nose, and a fever.  I know immediately when something is wrong when he snuggles with me, he hasn't been big on snuggling in the last year except when he really doesn't feel well.  We eventually moved out to the couch, and we just snuggled..he didn't even want to watch tv for most of the morning.  I tried to get him to at least drink some water, knowing it would help his throat but he wouldn't have any of it.  The rest of the morning was doing his feeds, wiping his nose, and cleaning up yucky diapers and puke piles.  Poor baby! The highest his temp ever got was 100.9...and thankfully it has gone down a bit this afternoon. 
I gave him some Tylenol around 11, and he was out in about 5 mins.  I tried moving him to his bed around 11:30, because some idiot kept driving down our street in a really loud motorcycle. It is a bit quieter in his room, and he woke up for a few mins when I was moving him but was back out.  Then about 45 mins later the garbage truck came down the street making all kinds of ruckus, and he was up and wouldn't go back down.  He is a really light sleeper! The rest of the afternoon he just laid on the couch watching Thomas on the Ipad.  He didn't even ask or want to move to play with his race cars or toys today.  He did ask for some goldfish, and sucked on them for a bit.  I had some blueberries in the fridge I needed to use up, so I threw together a blueberry coffee cake for breakfast for the rest of the week.  I watched a few shows on the DVR while he watched Thomas and snuggled with me.  Jeremy got home around 5, and we had Cheeseburger Mac, garlic bread and Cesare salad for dinner.  I then had to vent Lewis for about a half hour, he tends to get really gassy when he is sick and can't pass it himself.  We gave him a bath, then his last feed, and got him into bed. 

I have to say I feel so bad for the little man being so sick, but boy came I tried of wiping snot all day! Yuck!

 This morning around 7..yes he slept with is new Lighting McQueen car all night! :0)

 Watching some TV this afternoon...looks  such like a man here!

My head hurts and I am just exhausted! Planning on finally taking my shower for the day, and getting to bed myself. Correction he just started screaming and crying, I went in to his room and he is crying because snot is all over his pillows. Dear Lord Help me!
